About Engela Fullard
At heart and soul I am a lover of (decent) music and teaching. So what am I – a musician, teacher, composer, arranger, engraver? All of the above. Oh yes… and good at it! My passion is teaching/training music teachers, students, composers, arrangers, musicians to master Sibelius, music notation software.
Having experienced different music notation software programs (Composer, Musicator, Musescore and Finale) during my musical journeys, I eventually discovered and settled for Sibelius, one of the Big Names in scoring software to date. The only way to curb my enthusiasm…

For many years, I have been always asking myself how to write songs in Tonic Sol-Fa notations and conserve them forever, instead of continue writing them by hand on piece of papers or on excel spreadsheets. In mid-2022, I decided to look for a software that could such a job. I started to question people. It took me a year, until 2023 when I was told about Sibelius. I furthered my researches, focusing now in Sibelius only. On 24 November 2023, I bought Sibelius annual subscription, that was installed in my computer only in January 2024. My nephew Apo Ferreira Lubini, not knowing musical notations, not knowing Sibelius, managed to help me to show me few things in Sibelius and how to write a song with Sibelius. He managed to understand that just with his knowledge in IT, being an IT student doing his master degree in Pretoria University. Then, I was introduced to a special lady whom I call *Prof*. She is the one who trained me Sibelius. After three sessions of almost one hour each, I learned a lot from this wonderful lady, Mrs Engela Fullard, my Prof. But, today 15 February 2025, Prof Engela Fullard has made me the happiest man in the world. In an hour training session, the forth session, she has accomplished my mission of knowing how to put Tonic Sol-Fa notations alone on a piece of paper, separated to staff notes, just by hiding them. Thanks to Prof Engela Fullard, my mission is accomplished. Well done Prof. May God Almighty bless you and yours, abundantly. Great job. You deserve to be called Professor.
